They are under the direction of their Music Minister Richard Suggs (son of Julian & Frances Suggs). Among others, their Minister of Missions Susie Reeder (former FBC Student Minister - 1990 - 1995) will be traveling with the group. Our Youth Choir will join the Snyder Youth Choir on select pieces too, so don't miss it!

The 2018 Snyder Youth Choir consists of over 80 students in grades 7 thru 12. They assist in worship at times during the year and are a featured choir during Snyder’s annual Singing Christmas Tree. In recent years, the choir has enjoyed music/mission trips and outings to Richmond, VA, Wilmington, NC, Port Au Prince, Haiti and Asheville, NC. While traveling, the choir seeks to serve as well as sing. During the summer 2018 trip, about half of our youth will be on tour, singing and serving in locations around the Nashville area as well as Bowling Green, KY. We will visit Woodmont Baptist in Nashville TN, First Baptist in Murfreesboro TN, First Baptist in Bowling Green KY, a rehabilitation center in Nashville, Vandy’s burn unit, a psychiatric care facility in Bowling Green, a homeless ministry site in Nashville, Belmont’s studio and music school, as well as a few fun places to unwind and enjoy. Future trip planning includes ministry in other states, as well as an international effort with a partner mission in Nairobi Kenya during 2020. Later this summer, sixteen of our students who auditioned were selected and will be participating in the North Carolina Baptist All-State Youth Choir. Our Youth Choir is under the direction of our Minister of Music Richard Suggs and is accompanied by our Church Pianist Joy Cogswell. Our Minister of Worship, Giles Blankenship, leads our Youth Praise Team and Laurie Morrison leads the Steps of Faith dance group. Also on this trip is our Student Minister, Craig Morrison; our Music Ministry Administrative Assistant Sara Barefoot; our Minister of Missions Susie Reeder; and, a number of adults who comprise the lead team. Thank you for your attendance and support of Music Ministry, particularly ministries that are offered to students.
