2023 Year-End Giving Guidelines
As December 31st quickly approaches, please consider these important dates regarding giving to First Baptist Church Murfreesboro. For contributions to be deductible for 2023, they must meet one of the following criteria:
IRS rules recognize a contribution on the day of delivery. In order for the contributions to be deductible for 2023, they must:
o By mail: be postmarked on or before December 31, 2023.
o Online or text message: be completed by midnight Central Standard Time, December 31, 2023.
o Hand Delivered: be dropped off in person to Robyn’s office by 1pm, Friday, December 29, 2023 or dropped in the Sunday Offering on 12/31.
o Sunday Offering: be placed in the church offering on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
All gifts for 2023 must be received in the church office by 1pm, Friday, December 29, 2023 or dropped in the offering plate on Sunday, December 31. Any gifts dropped off at the church office or in the offering after that time will be treated as 2024 gifts.
Online giving via the church web site is always available and is a convenient option for any last-minute gifts. Click on “Online Giving” at www.fbcmboro.org and follow the instructions to set up an online giving account if you don’t already have one. Text-giving is also available at 73256 and type in gofbc.
Please note that any gifts given via online bill payment services or via other types of bank transfers (e-check) are dated on the actual date your bank transmits or otherwise removes the funds from your account, NOT on the date you schedule or submit the transaction.
Please contact the church office for further instructions if you wish to make a stock transfer. Please note that gifts of this type should be planned well in advance to ensure that any transfer will be completed by December 31, 2023.
